Reverse Mortgage Application & Closing Signings
Patient, organized, in-person signing support — from application through closing. Reverse mortgage packages can be lengthy and unfamiliar, so I take the time to keep your appointment calm, clear, and unhurried.
Many reverse-mortgage borrowers are older adults who appreciate additional time, face-to-face communication, reasonable breaks, and the chance to contact their lender when questions arise. I believe these appointments are best handled in person — and as a matter of company policy, I do not conduct reverse mortgage appointments through Remote Online Notarization.
MzNotaryMN Role
I'm an impartial Minnesota notary public and licensed closing agent. During your appointment, I may:
- Verify the identity of each signer
- Present the documents in the sequence provided
- Identify document titles and signature locations
- Facilitate signatures, initials, and dates
- Administer required oaths or acknowledgments
- Notarize the appropriate signatures
- Check the completed package for missed execution fields
- Complete required scan-backs
- Securely deliver the documents according to the hiring party's instructions
I am not the lender, and I cannot:
- Recommend whether you should obtain the loan
- Interpret loan terms or legal consequences
- Explain interest rates, balances, costs, or calculations
- Change lender documents
- Promise approval, funding, recording, or acceptance
- Pressure you to sign
Questions about the loan must go to your lender, loan officer, title company, HUD-approved counselor, or attorney.
Application & closing appointments
These are two separate appointments. Scheduling an application does not guarantee loan approval, and scheduling a closing does not guarantee funding or recording.

Your written quote identifies included travel, printing, delivery, and applicable notarial services. Additional travel, witnesses, parking, priority service, or extended time may be quoted separately and confirmed before your appointment.
