How remote online notarization works
I remain physically located in Minnesota while performing your notarization. Depending on the circumstances, you may participate from Minnesota, another U.S. state, or certain locations outside the United States when the transaction meets Minnesota's legal requirements. RON appointments are completed through the Proof platform (formerly Notarize).

Send your document for review
Upload your document before booking so I can confirm eligibility, the number of signers and notarial acts, whether witnesses are needed, and your exact fee. My review is not legal advice.
Receive your secure Proof invitation
Once your appointment is accepted, you'll get a secure link to access your transaction through Proof.
Complete identity verification
Proof verifies your identity using your physical government-issued photo ID, credential analysis, and the identity-proofing method required for your transaction.
Meet with me by live video
In the secure session I confirm your identity, confirm you're signing willingly, administer any required oath, observe your signature, complete the electronic notarial certificate, and apply my electronic signature and seal.
Pay and receive your documents
Payment is collected through Proof after the notarization is completed, and your finished documents are then available to download and share. Business, title, and lender accounts may be invoiced under separate written terms.
MzNotaryMN does not notarize remotely
As a matter of MzNotaryMN business policy — not a statewide prohibition — I conduct the following in person rather than by RON. Minnesota may permit remote notarization for some of these, but they often benefit from additional time, personal attention, and careful witness coordination:

Pricing & payment
I confirm your exact fee in writing after reviewing your documents. Payment is collected through Proof after the notarization is completed, and your documents are released after successful payment. No separate deposit is required for a standard Proof transaction unless I tell you otherwise in writing.
Remote Online Notarization fees
The $45 base includes secure identity verification, credential analysis, the live audio-video session, electronic notarization, e-seal and e-journal, session recording, technology and platform access, and electronic document delivery.
Your exact total is confirmed in writing after I review your documents. Loan closings and business transactions are quoted separately.
