My everyday workhorse. When a package has twenty signatures in it, this is the one that keeps up without me thinking about it.

The one that lives in my bag. The impression is smaller, and that matters more than you would expect: a seal cannot cover up text, and on a crowded page a full-size stamp sometimes has nowhere to land. It is also just pretty — clients notice it, and that is a nice bit of warmth in a serious moment.

Minnesota does not require a journal for most in-person notarizations. I keep one anyway. If a signing is ever questioned, the record is the difference between remembering and knowing.
